Greer Crossing Recreation Area
DATE:July 23rd-26th, 2009
DIRECTIONS: From Winona, Missouri - Take MO-19 south for 17 miles. The recreation area entrance is on the east side of the road just before crossing the bridge over the Eleven Point River.

Well, Alan and I went to Greer Crossing, this past weekend. We had a very relaxing camping trip. We were joined by another member of ORCC, Drewfoxpark, Drew and his daughter Andrea. They were great company. We all set-up on Thursday and in the evening planned our weekend. We decided to take a five mile float trip on Friday. Friday was a great day for a float trip, it was beautiful and the fish were biting. We had a lot of fun. Saturday, Drew and Andrea decided to go exploring. They went to Greer Spring, Rocky Falls and a few other places in the area. Saturday rained some, just a gentle shower or two. Alan and I chose to sit back and watch a movie, while it rained. Sunday was pack it up and go home day. We really enjoyed spending time with Drew and Andrea. Chelsie had a lot of fun playing with Andrea too. Thanks for joining us.

Looks like a great place! Have not floated the Eleven Point since I was a teenager. Don't remember much. Have to get back down there someday. Nic pics. Looks like you all had a grand time
