We are not sure, Toby gets so hot in the canoe if it is real hot. If there is someone not canoeing we can leave him behind. We are still not sure what we are doing after we leave there so he may stay home all week with Sarah. Camping just won't be the same with out Toby. I can't wait to meet your doggie!!

We have finally made our reservations. We are on site #46, from Sept 16th thru Sept 27th. I checked availability for the weekends of Sept 18th thru Sept 20th and Sept 25th thru Sept 27th. There are sites close to us that are still available. We have to work the weekend of 18th, both Friday & Saturday, but we are back at the campsite in the evening. The weekend of Sept 25th, we only have to work Friday. So, all are welcome to join us. See you there. Just post below your site #, so we can find you too.

Hey guys,
We will be riding in the MS 150 the 26th and 27th. Maybe we can get with you the prior weekend. Tammy is really driving me on this one! I'm glad we are finally getting some of the West side members to come out. Maybe we can come up on that Friday night but we need to be at registration by 6:00am Saturday.

As you might know, this was the sixth year we have tied work in with camping. We had two product shows back to back in Kansas City, one being at the Sheraton Convention Center in Overland Park, Kansas and the second was at the Kansas City Expo Center up by the KCI Airport in Kansas City, Missouri. Normally we stay at hotels when we travel with work. I must say its very nice to be able to leave that convention center and come back to the campground and set around the campfire with friends instead of staying in a hotel. The first weekend Phil & Tammy (OutdoorXman) came up on Friday and stayed through Sunday. Phil came pulling up in a NEW camper, its a real BEAUTY. Not to steal the THUNDER, I'll let Phil & Tammy tell you more about their new camper. Saturday & Sunday night the four of us put together great dinners and Tammy made her FAMOUS Apple Crisp "Yummy".
Watkins Mill has a nice size lake with a paved bike/hiking trail around the lake. Sunday we (Phil, Tammy Chris & I) rode bikes on the Watkins lake trail, Chris & I rode approx. 10 miles and Phil & Tammy rode about approx. 20 miles. Phil & Tammy were getting ready for the MS Ride the next Saturday. We hated to see Phil & Tammy leave Sunday evening, we had such a good time.
Tuesday Night we met up again with Phil & Tammy at the Blue Trace Trail. What a great trail, we all rode about 10 miles. After the bike ride we all went over to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner, after dinner we went across the street to Cold Stone Ice Cream Parlor for dessert.
Good Food - Great Friends - Good Times
The second weekend Jeff & Glenda (Glenda & Jeff) came up and camped from Thursday though Monday with us. It was great seeing them again, the last time we had camped together was at the Lake Greeson - Arkansas campout. Jeff has done a lot of mods on his truck ( Canoe Rack, Truck Shell Rack, Awning Mod, etc.) Looks good, great job.
Melissa, Christopher & Jonathan (rcjsmom) came up Friday night and stayed through Sunday night. It was great seeing Melissa and her two boys again. The last time we camped together was at the Watercress Springs campout (Memorial Day Weekend). Saturday night we all pitched in on a pot luck dinner. Melissa made her FAMOUS Chili and we had brats, sausages, etc.. Afterward we drove over to old town Excelsior Springs Ice Cream Drive-In. The kind of ice cream parlors that were around in the 50's & 60's. It was almost to cold "Chilly" for ice cream but as anyone that knows me, its never to cold for ice cream.
We all had a great time, its a funny thing how time flies when your having fun. We are looking forward to the next campout, to be able see these friends of ours again. Thank you.
