Haw Creek Falls
DATE: June 10th-14th, 2009
DIRECTIONS: 14 miles north of Hararville on Hwy. 123, or 12 miles west from Pelsor on Hwy. 123. Negotiable by camping trailers.
CAMPGROUND INFORMATION:
OPERATED BY: U.S.D.A. Forest Service CONTACT: Big Piney Ranger Dist. (479) 284-3150 WEBSITE:Click Here OPEN: All Year CAMP SITES: 9 RV/Tent Sites (No Hook-Ups) SITE AMENITIES: Table, fire pit w/grate, lantern pole FACILITIES: Vault Toilets, (No Drinking Water Available) Water must be hauled in or filtered. REGISTRATION: First come/first served, Self pay at campground entrance CAMP FEE: $4.00 per site, Limit (6 persons) per campsite site
FUEL NOTE: Gasoline can be purchased in the surrounding towns and would be a good idea to fill up your tank and reserve tank before entering the National Forest.
PETS: On Leash "Only" FIRES: In fire pits "Only" ALCOHOL: (Dry-No Alcohol) VEHICLES: Negotiable by camping trailers GLASS: No glass on beach or creek areas Quiet Hours: 10:00PM to 6:00AM NOTE: No jumping or diving off rocks/bluffs
Attractions: Haw Creek small mountain stream with picturesque falls, rocks and bluffs, canoeing on Big Piney Creek nearby, fishing. Access to Ozark Highlands Trail, accessible trail to Haw Creek Falls.
