We have a new little Maltese named Sparky that we will soon be training as our new camping dog. lol We love to tent camp. We also love to share good times with good friends and can't wait to meet new people. We hope to see all of you camping soon.
Greetings, My name is Mike and my wife's name is Laura. We live in East Peoria, IL. I work at Caterpillar, I guess you can figure that by my handle. My DW works at a local bakery. She is the chief baker. We both are in our 50's with grown children, a daughter and son. Our daughter blessed us with two grand kids. We both love to camp, travel and meet new friends. If we are able to camp together someday you will probably meet all the family. They camp with us quite a bit.

Hello All, I am Tim Hanr and have camped with Catworker a time or two. If you have the opportunity to go camping with him, don't. ;D Every time I went with him it rained at least once during the weekend. ;D
Seriously, Mikes a good man and great to be around. As you can guess, he tipped me off to this site.
My wife claims to like camping, although we have a difference of opinion on what camping is. She thinks it means hot showers, flush toilets, and mints on the pillows at night. I can make do with pretty much anything or nothing. I am just as comfortable under the stars as in a Marriott. We have two kids in college.

We're not very close to the Ozarks (North central IA), but I like the idea of "off road" camping. Our family consists of my wife and I as well as two boys (8 & 4) and our dog Tucker. We drive a 06' Toyota Tacoma 4x4 doublecab and camp in a 05' Surveyor 190T hybrid. Our hobbies include hiking and climbing on rocks (the boys loved the badlands and needles in SD this past summer) though it probably wouldn't be considered "authentic" rock climbing.
Howdy, I'm Dennis and my partner is Don. We live on a ridge just southeast of the Buffalo National River south of Dillard's Ferry. A mile north of Cozahome, AR, to be exact. Google that, lol. We've run the gambit from tent camping, to TT, to Pups to Motorhomes and finally back to PUP camping again. I guarantee you we can pull the PUP at 20.5 MPG with a '95 Town and Country van pulling a 1985 Coleman PUP a whole lot more miles than the old motorhome at 8 mpg. Love the Ozarks as we do, we kinda like long vacations elsewhere. He's been east, I've been east and west. We just got back from a trip west. I've been telling Don about "real" mountains and he finally got to see a few of 'em. From Estes Park over the pass, down the trail, over Monach pass, way down to Mesa Verde . . . . and then over to Arizona to the Grand Canyon. What can I say. It was difficult, looking between his face and the road as we approached the canyon, but the awe on his face when the canyon finally was revealed? Priceless . . . .
Anyone looking to explore the Ozarks of AR, let us know and we'll point you in the right direction. If, after we get to know ya'll, you know of places we haven't seen, please let us know. The Ozark Mountains, the Buffalo National River . . . beautiful.
Many of use were drawn here from somewhere else. In spite of a poor economy we eek out a living and exist.
Hello all, my name is Steve, my wife's name is Laura. We are in our 40's and have two kids (girl 19 and boy 13). We love to camp, canoe, fly fish, hunt, and just about anything else that has to do with the outdoors. We tent camped for years but recently (2 years ago) bought a Pop-Up camper and we camp even more now. I was introduced to the site by You and I who I met earlier this year. My wife likes the comfort of the camper but she also is willing to camp with me on the shore of a river while we float and fly fish our way down stream.

Hello everyone, I am Brian, my better half is Daphne, and I have a son Zak who is 15 going on 30 so he thinks. Anyways, we just recently purchase a new Jayco JayFeather 213 hard sided rear slide and although we do mostly SP campgrounds we have been know to dry camp which we just did last weekend. We live close to Troy Mo and if anyone needs a somewhat nice dry camping place to go give me a ring. There is a place north of Troy we go to often that isn't to bad most of the times. Hey it's cheap and you can't beat that lol.
I do want to let you know that I am the Wagonmaster for next years PUX 1st annual MID-CON outting. Here is the URL for this if you are interested.www.midcon2008.com. So far we have 53 families coming from as far away as Ontario. The rally is going to be held at Lake of the Ozarks State Park in Missouri. I have been a member of PUX (popupexplorer.com) since 2004 and this thing kind of just took off. Don't worry if you're not a member of PUX, everyone is more than welcome to attend. The more the merrier in my book.
If you are interested in attending, please send me an email so I can get you added to the list of attendees. Also I will be posting the reservation system rules shortly with the dates over in PUX and if I can find the time, I will post them over here also. Alan has been nice enough to allow me to do this and I thank him for it.
That's about it, other than I hope some of you can make it to the rally and happy camping everyone no matter what your style is!!

Hi my name is Donna and my DH is Tom. We have 3 grown children ages, 33, 25 & 22 and one DD that has passed. We have 3 DGC ages 8, 5, & 4. The 8 & 5 live in GA and the 4 lives just behind us. DH is self employed doing home repair and renovations and I am a stay at home grandma. We love to camp and do so as often as we can. Our DGD, 4, is with us a lot as is the dog. We started out in tents and had several, then had 3 pu's and a hybrid and this spring we went to a TT. I loved our hybrid but because of health with DH we traded. We are getting ready to go to Branson next wknd and take our DGD to SDC as part of her Christmas. We camp relatively close to home most of the time. Looking forward to getting to know all of you better.
Hello All, My name is Jeff and the dear wifes name is Kim. We have three children well young adults, Jordan (21) who doesn't care to camp (at least with us) him and his friends go on day float trips, Lindsay (20) who is just like her older brother in regards to camping and Kayla (18) who is unlike her older siblings and enjoys camping. Hey 1 out of 3 aint bad!!! We live in Bridgeton, Mo and enjoy camping, hiking, fishing (jeff), floating and other outdoor activities. We love our Coleman Sedona PUP and we are considering a Hybrid, but it's hard letting go of a good camper that is already paid for ;D, besides Kim says she gets her boat before a new camper. Anyway that is the Miller's and looking forward to getting to know you all and obtaining some good ideas about the outdoors.
Jeff - '62 Kim - '67 Jordan - '86 Lindsay - '87 Kayla - '90
If you'll let Jeff join, then I guess its safe for us to join too.
I grew up camping in the mountains of AZ and NM where the only 'conveniences' we had was the pit toilets in the campground and a single water spigot at the entrance to the campground. Since then I've had just about every type of RV made and finally settled on a pop-up. We've camped at many places around the country and have enjoyed the people we've met.
My wife (Gayle) and I have three children - Alex (10), Jesse (9), and Nikki (8). We've been together since the early '90s and I still can't handle being away from her for very long - it's truly wonderful being married to my best friend. We live just outside of Laquey, MO right off of the mother road (Rte 66).

OK, I will play along.....
I'm Mike and my wife is Kelly. We have a 12yr old daughter and we live in in Kansas City, KS. We all like to fish and the kid and I like to mountain bike but the wife not quite so much although we still manage to get her on the trail from time to time. Our pop-up is not much more than a tent on wheels but we like it because it has more storage than your average tent and I can never get those things back in the bag anyway. Unfortunately, it doesn't get as much use as I would like but we enjoy it quite a bit when it does. Thats about all I can think of at the moment....so....howdy.
My name is Cathy and I love to camp. I have a dog she loves to camp too!!!!!!!!!! I have twin girls 26 years old. I have 2 granddaughters that Im sure will be camping with me next summer. I also am expecting another grand kid in July. I live in Sullivan mo about 5 miles away from Meramec State Park, and about 15 miles away from Onandaga Cave State Park.
